http://www.etsyveg.blogspot.com friends about it. I came up with a couple of ideas. This was the first idea:
I do like this idea a lot. Likely I will be printing some off for personal usage, or if folks want a special order of one.
Well, take two looks like this:
I'm going to be offering these in my etsy store. This will be a custom order. You can choose the photos you'd like put into a collage. There is also a photo collage calendar option.
*Please note the red border is not included. It is from the snipping tool.*
This is a link to my etsy store. This is a really good deal on some of my artwork. It's a pre-printed pack of two 8x10's, some 4x6's..of photographs and some of my digtail artwork. Mainly photo's that have been edited in corel draw. I took photos of my flowers and turned them into digital prints. You'd never know they were originally flowers. Looks like a tapestry or a drawing done on the computer. I've got at least 10 prints in this pack. All for $10 and free shipping. This is an excellent deal. I also am recycling envelopes and cardboard to mail it in. Instead of driving, I'm going to mail it with stamps right from my mailbox. I have the stamps all ready to go.
So it's an ecologically minded purchase, in addition to a GREAT deal!

Oh, little orange butterfly, you are so tiny & ever so sweet.
This is a new addition to my etsy shop. It's not a new photo. I wish it was. That would mean we were having warm 80*F days. But, not so. Not as of yet, anyway.
This photo was captured at the ecotarium.org in their butterfly garden/walkway.
I *won* some flickr.com *awards* with this photo. Don't underestimate a flickr award. These are some tough critics, since a large portion of them are also photographers and artists. I was very impressed and honoured. Many people all over the world loved & enjoyed the photo. When this is printed it will be 1/100. I haven't printed it as of yet, for myself even. I'm considering it though. My new home needs some bright colours & livening up!

This is my photograph of a Honeybee collecting pollen on a bright pink rose flower. This was one of my very first Macro shots with my camera, that I was successful with. Taken in 2007 at my old house. I love this shot. It was one of the few bees I saw this summer. As it was mentioned that there was a lack of bee's in the colonies this year. CCD was mentioned in the news a lot.
I saw this Movie back then:
According to the website it's been renamed. "The Return of the Bees." So this gives me some hope. ---Heather "aktie9" :)

This is an example of my blue-purple hydrangea photo blown up to Poster size, and framed with a black front loading frame. I love the ease of use on these front loading frames. Takes about 35 seconds from start to finish. Instant wall art!
Being a SAHM to two little boys I find these to be quick and simple, and also not very expensive way to decorate the house with my photography. If the kids were to toss a ball at the glass and break it. Wouldn't be a huge expense to replace it. These are availible at AC. Moore's the craft store. I haven't seen them at Michael's. But, I bet they are pretty much readily availible at other such places.

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit." ??
I don't know who is attributed to this quote, but, funny nonetheless. I've heard or seen this a few times. But, I figured maybe it needed to be repeated. One can never tell a man quite enough. They need constant reminding.. hehehehe. Just a Joke..

I just learned about this new book. It's about Vegans, Vegetarians, and animals. I'm really looking forward to it. I've been a Vegan for about 1.5 years now, and never felt better healthwise. I was a Vegetarian in High school, I quit doing it when I got married to my husband. Needless to say I've learned the error of my meat eating ways. I'm so happy to see that this idea is getting into the mainstream public's eye.
Looking for the book. It's coming out May 2009! Look for it!
In the meantime check out:

I'm sorry it had to be cut into two pieces. I'm not sure how to save it another way.I used the windows vista snipping tool feature to do this. I could only get 6 in the first section. I made this treasury for Etsy For Animals, EtsyVeg & Vegan Etsy members to give them some exposure. We have a whole bunch of newbies on etsyveg. Lots of great artists, and artisans. Incredible stuff. I can't wait to get shopping and picking out new stuff for my new house, once we're settled in!

I had some fun making this image. It's my pink gerbera daisy print. But I turned it blue. Then took the eraser feature and turned the center back to the original colouring.. the hot pink colour & the yellow center. The rest of it is different shades of blues. Just a silly fun thing to do. I like how this looks. I'm working on some ideas on working with my photos. Making some collages & some weird things with my photos. Enjoy! ---Heather 'Aktie9' :)

I'm glad I stopped my car for this little pooch. I'm glad Duke barked like a maniac when he saw her on the sidewalk all alone. It's been 2 years since we found this little Chihuahua girl. No, she hasn't gotten any better with the potty habits. I've just gotten better at picking the poop up faster. She does do it in the same spot every time. So this is at least something. She does wee outside pretty good.
It's just the poop for some weird reason. So I'm keeping her close to me... and watching for the signals. It does take some doing. It does stress me out some. I'm still glad for her. I'm still willing to put up with her.
She's a great little dog. She's a handy friend to have. She is a wonderful companion. I don't think my having to pick up her poop is a hard duty, in exchange for keeping her safe, feeding her and keeping her healthy. She does some great things for me. Like: Bark like a maniac whenever the wind blows. I'm a little bit of a nervous nelly sometimes. I don't like being alone all day with the kids. So she's handy to have around to let me know when a leaf blows by the window. Just in case it's a deadly nighshade leaf & really super poisonous.
Thank you Minnie. Here's to more years spent enjoying you!
Happy Rescueversary #2! ----Heather "aktie9" :)

Just a little tongue in cheek there for ya, on the title. I had this made on etsy.com for my husband for Valentine's day. 2009 was our 15th Valentine's Day. We plan on putting this on our living room wall when it gets painted this spring. This is just the sample, the colour is different. I had it made in a dark brown, as we plan on painting the living room a mint green or sage green colour. I also had a vinyl sticker made for my husband that says Be My Valentine Forever, and one that says Welcome. I was planning it for the front door. However, now with the new front door we have, it's not going to work. I might be adding it into my next blog giveaway. My loss is your gain!
Shop where I purchased the vinyl stickers: www.sayitwithstyle.etsy.com
Just playing around with the photo's today. Working on a less expensive way to purchase some of my photos. This one is a bust however, as I didn't notice there is a border around the bottom of the purple morning glory flower.

Go to www.wordle.net. Go to create. Put in a url you like or own on the wordle site. Like your blog or somewhere that has things you enjoy. Then hit submit. It will pop out a bunch of words on a chalkboard.. or another cool effect. It's so cool. 10 seconds of fun. Worth about a nickel, I think. But fun. If it's not completely obvious I used the posting below as the link on wordle. Hence the author names.

I'm tired of the snow, of winter's long cold slumber. It's time for spring, it's time for the earth to awaken. Please I beseech you let the warm rays of the sun melt the snow & warm the ground. Let SPRING begin things again. ---Heather :)

My Best friend in Middle School/High School died of a Cerebral Aneurysm. Please see the wiki link below for more details. Experience any of the symptoms please seek medical attention immediately. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebral_aneurysm I know it's hard to read that. It sure is for me. But, I feel that it is that important to put the information out there, so folks can learn about these maladies. I miss her so much. I think about her often & keep her memories in my heart. ---Heather
This is my bird on a wire. I drew in him in 2003 on my computer. He is a part of a larger collection of little computer *paint program* drawings. I drew these for a little book I made for my son when he was in utero. I have some listed in my Etsy store: http://www.aktie9.etsy.com I usually have them printed out 4x6 style by a professional photo printer. I can't make them any larger at this time. As the resolution gets wacky. They are meant to be tiny little art drawings. I can make them smaller like ACO sized. I'm planning on printing some out and doing some work with them as ACOs very soon. I've got loads of project ideas.. always plenty of ideas.. never enough time. ;)
