GLITTER!

I have a pair of Dansko clogs that I LOVE, but hardly got to wear (cause I'm a klutz) since the woven felt got worn in the toe area very soon after purchasing them. They look like this:

So I decided (after years of thinking I was gonna use felt to fix them) to glitter them up last night so I could wear them again. HAH. Where are you gonna wear these? The joke will make more sense in a few nanoseconds. Trust me. So I looked on pinterest & I googled up some tutorials & landed on this one, here.

Basically, the tutorial suggests to mix the glitter & modge podge together & paint it onto the shoe. But naturally, I read the directions AFTER I put glue on the shoes & dumped tons of glitter onto the shoes & let it dry. After it dried a bit I painted modge podge over the whole shooting match & I think it came out pretty close. I didn't go for perfect. I didn't go for matching either. I just wanted the shoes funky & wearable.


As for where to wear them? Kids have begun calling the shoes the "Party Rock" shoes. So of course.. when we're dancing around the house. Also quite possibly when I'm gardening or grocery shopping or who knows ? I love bright & fun shoes! No KIDDING!




Yeah so I like shoes. I have a shoe like. Just a little bit. In fact, I like shoes so much I've been neglectful in regards to purses. I need a new one. The current recycled one is very boring. No amount of glitter can save it. Altho I do have a black vinyl one that could do with some glitter. Hmm... XOXO Heather :)

MAIL TIME!

Today was a great day! I got some mail. Anyday in my house that I get mail is awesome! Some bills. Not so awesome. Some cards. AWESOME! A wee lil package of makeup. SUPER DUPER AWESOME! I got the two items below.

Vegan mineral blush & lipstick from Mineral Love. So pretty! I love the way it was packaged up too. So cute! XOXO Heather :)

Forgotten Things....

Way back when we moved away from Western MA & back to Central MA again, I gave my sister a bag full of some of my cameras. She put it into her basement onto a shelf.

Then we both promptly forgot about the bag of cameras. Go Mommy Brain! In fact, it has been so long now, I totally had no idea what cameras were even in it.



Turns out there was a Brownie with a Kodet Lense inside. All taped up & ready for TTV! (TTV is Through The Viewfinder.)

Turns out it was this cute wee Brownie Starflex. So wee. So cute!


Inside the last lil case was my very first camera that I used as an adult.



It's a APS camera & even has a roll of film inside its bag & ready to go.
There was also some miscellaneous stuff inside as well.


Looks like makeup, my boy's baby nail clippers & a lil vegan book called: "Where do vegans get their protein?" CUTE! I had wondered where that had got to!
In the meantime while the cameras were sitting on a shelf in my sister's basement. I haven't been idle in my camera purchasing or TTV fooling around. I wasn't able to find my Brownie with the Kodent Lense, so I purchased this cutie.

I also bought this adorable camera too. I found it on Light in the box after seeing it in someone's pinterest stream.

Yes, while that Hello Kitty case would be the most appropriate home for the pink bubble glitter camera, it's actually my nail polishes' home. At least right now. Maybe soon when the nail polish outgrow their abode, we'll give it some thought. I also picked up another Brownie just like the one above all taped up and ready for TTV, but right now.. I have no idea where it is. YIKES! Probably it's in another bag somewhere waiting for me to re-find it.

Been busy.. not blogging..

Earlier this spring/summer, I had a near death experience. It was on the morning that this wee girl finally came into my life.

Believe me when I say, this photo makes me look GOOD with the editing that makes my skin look alienish. But thankfully I didn't die. Yay for Western Medicine. Never thought I'd ever say that.

It was an awful, traumatic experience. I've since stopped falling into hysterics & crying like a baby every time I'm alone. I'm getting over it. Some things I probably won't get over. Like missing body parts. I'll take that up with my shrink at a later date. I don't think the net' needs those details. {Shudder}

From now on.. I'm shooting pictures of rainbows, my new adorable baby, my boys, my loves, and anything else I fancy & spending all my time with my family & friends. I've got important stuff to do, like teach my kids to care for the planet. So when I am gone, my thoughts & thinks live on. My lesson in all of this.. my sister & her kids are so important to me & my mom too, who was there during the whole trial I went through. My hubby who ranted and raved at anyone he could to get me the best care ever! I'm spending the time with them. I'm hugging, folks. I'm kissing folks more. I'm loving more. I'm more now than I ever was. I will be blogging some more now & then too. It's important to me too. But mostly, I'm loving my family every single second of every single day. Oh and I'm picking my battles. Like not freaking out when the kids draw on furniture or honk the horn in my Volvo wagon, like they are doing right this very minute. Hahaha. I suggest you do this too. Spend every single second doing something important.
There are only so many more tomorrows.
